Many came to enjoy the veterans’ display at the museum. I also helped remind us all of the sacrifices made by our veterans. Of interest were the many types of uniforms on display donated by local families and veterans. The drawing for our raffle was also held during this time….
Many guests joined Mr. Marvin for the walk through Oak Hill Cemetery. The walk was very interesting filled with information about headstone symbols and some of the people buried there.
Halloween was great fun at the highly decorated museum! Guests not only enjoyed the decorations, but they also enjoyed grilled sandwiches served from the grill for free.
Dinner at the Overland Inn is a once a year event. This year’s event featured a great meal and the opportunity to enjoy that meal with friends in historic surroundings. If you missed it, watch for tickets for next year!
The celebration of this anniversary had a great attendance and interesting displays. The celebration cake was an enjoyable addition to this celebration!
The Wyandot County Historical Society is raffling off these prizes in November! Tickets for the raffle are $20 each and available from board members, or at the Museum. With the rise in food prices and guns, either of these prizes would be great to win. The name first drawn gets…
Saturday and Sunday, July 23 & 24, a quilt show was held at the Overland Inn. There was a wide variety of quilts on display!
